nearly a year away from completing high school, but she's narrowed her college choices to Stanford and UCLA. And, since NCAA rules would prevent her from
competing, coaching may be the next best thing. "I'm looking at Stanford, UCLA, and I would love to coach for their teams," Johnson said Sunday
before an autograph session at the Hy-Vee Triathlon in Raccoon River Park. "I love California, and they're both great schools."

Heck, I would love to go to Stanford and coach also! What do folks at UCLA and Stanford think about this? Are there serious conversations with her about
coming? Can she coach? How would she deal with athletes who are older?

How funny that Shawn has narrowed down her college choices to Stanford and UCLA, in California, after we find out that Shawn wants to do acting. And how funny
that Shawn's academics were of utmost importance to her, so much that she proudly did not do home schooling and went to public high school before the
olympics, and now she doesn't plan to return to high school cause she's too busy being a celebrity.
Wasn't it just a couple years ago that Shawn's mom said in an article that Shawn would only consider an ivy league school for college since she was so smart and wanted to go to medical school, and that Shawn was too good for college gymnastics? So the teams she was too good to compete for she now wants to coach. Well I sure hope she picks Stanford since UCLA is one of my favorite two teams. Plus tell me, for how long will her sponsers require her to say she hasn't decided about the 2012 olympics, yeah right.

How would she deal with athletes who are older?" She's a great gymnast, but it's different being a great coach. If it's in her to do that in the NCAA, in time she'll be ready. Not now. There are no serious discussions with UCLA that I know of. UCLA's coaching staff is great the way it is, and I wouldn't want any changes right now. If she wants to attend UCLA as a student, she has to qualify academically like anyone else.I'm not sure about her online schooling. Also, Calfornia universities, because of the state financial problems, are cutting back the number of freshmen they are admitting. . Good luck to her. |

out-of-state applicants (hmm, they pay higher tuition so it makes sense).
Still, it smells to me like a way to slip into the entertainment world. I sort of doubt that Coach Val goes for it. |

"Fashion" is a completely phony, bogus concept. Simply a way of cashing in on people who want to be mindless followers. Shawn Johnson looks great.
