I tend to think of gymnasts who use their skills in interesting ways as noteworthy. Like Moneymaker and her stunt woman career but, I can see how that makes sense.
As for Utah alums, I don't know if it is common knowledge but the University of Utah and the University Medical center really is the preeminent Medical Training and Research Center for the Intermountain West. So it is not surprising that the Red Rocks have lots of alumnae with careers somehow tied into the Health Sciences, be it Doctors, Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Health Research fields.
Utah also has a strong well rounded Engineering School and we have had a few Engineers as well. The beautiful Jessica Smith (now a Bio-Mechanical Engineer) brightened up a few of my classes.
The Marsden Legacy has also produced several gymnastics coaches, choreographers, and club owners but, that probably seems "natural."
