The official announcement is still forthcoming, but the billboard went up the other day on 45th Street - so I
am taking that as a sign (pun intended).
The University of Washington will have every home match this season on television. Every match will be cablecast in Western Washington on Comcast On Demand.
Alisa Brandle, who was last year's Dawg Channel announcer, will be returning this year in the role of on air host and lead commentator. The matches will
still be streamed live on the internet on gohuskies.com as part of the Dawg Channel All Access package.
We are working with meet officials to get the best coverage possible for television as some of the Husky meets are Quad meets, so we will not be able to show
each and every routine of the opponents, but we will be working with the teams to identify key routines in each meet to be shown in addition to the complete
Washington coverage.
There have been a lot of people working very hard to make this happen, and I will thank them in public when the official announcement comes out, but I thought
the faithful fans, who had so many great words for us last year, deserved to know.
The gymnastics presentation is part of a total Husky Sports on Demand presence on Comcast. Every home volleyball match was carried this year, as well all home
women's basketball games.
More details as they develop including some potential increased coverage, and we hope those of you in the area can tune in.
Thanks as always for your support,
Jon Horton
Executive Producer of Huskyvision
