The Ivy Classic returns to Yale this year and Cornell, Penn, and Brown will make their way into Payne Whitney Gym in New Haven. Should be very interesting to see who emerges as the champs in the team and events.
Just down the road, it'll be the Owl Bowl, when Temple visits Southern Connecticut State. Temple rarely makes it up to New Haven, though they'll be back for ECACs. If I wasn't at Ivies I'd be checking this meet out.
George Washington is up at New Hampshire in an EAGL meeting. UNH scored well last week but I'm assuming they'd like to pick up another win over EAGL competition, if it matters, that's just a guess. The EAGL conference has been exciting with the way the meets have been coming out. The individual competition should also be close if the high scores are any indication.
Brockport at MIT is a key regular season meet for both teams in that they both have ECAC Division 3 championships the following week. It will also be senior day in Cambridge. Plus there will be the All Around competition between MIT's Julia Zimmerman and Leanna Morinishi and Brockport's Lauren Gildemeyer, and Kaitlin Dewey.
Alaska, Bridgeport at Rutgers in the nightcap. Aside from the fact that I enjoy anytime the Purple Knights and Scarlet Knights meet up in a gymnastics joust. Bridgeport is still building what is a very high scoring season and I'm curious to see how far they can go. Rutgers also will be hosting Alaska, which is a rare treat, though the Seawolves were on the east coast last year, it's still not every day their in the Eastern Time Zone.
Should be a fun Saturday, (if the snow doesn't hit)
